About Dr. Kellyann Wolfe
I earned my PhD in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, with a dissertation entitled, Creation, Crisis, and Comedy: An Ecocritical Reading of the Eden Story, Joel, and Jonah. In addition, I completed a BA in Philosophy at Gordon College in Massachusetts, an MA at Union, and studied at the Jewish Theological Seminary and New York University for part of my doctoral studies. My research interests include biblical intertextuality, literary criticism of the Bible, humor and comedy in religious texts, interreligious dialogue, and agrarianism.
I have done interdisciplinary work in environmental studies, anthropology, and literary studies, and was for four years the Associate Editor of the Union Seminary Quarterly Review. See “On My Bookshelf” for the range of books I have edited and indexed.
